- Good suggestions I've seen so far, but the REAL fix is:
- Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT in the command line and click OK.
- Go to Search, click Find, and type DIALSUFFIX in the search box (no
- spaces)
- Once the DialSuffix item is found, double click it.
- In Value, you'll see a ; remove the ; and click OK.
- Now click Registry, and Exit. Next time you restart, modem will make
- noise.
